Kishin Himori creates artworks on the themes of “the consciousness of existence or non-existence” and “the shape of lives”.
In this project, he tried to express "the shape of lives" that cannot be recognized visually.
He thinks that life (the thread of lives) exists in all things such as living things, material, and space.- This idea could help us to know the true picture of what it is.
By irradiating red point light randomly on the target object in the dark, the silhouette appears on the surface and the object becomes visible on the photo. These Red lines remind viewers of “the shape of lives” and the vitality.
He is striving to look beyond the surface by making visuals that may not have a visual component.
