Dancing in the Streets, Unique Photograph - a celebration of the human spirit, an artwork of joy, hope and laughter through dance and vision. The dancers depicted in the streets of Dublin with the notorious umbrellas above Anne's Lane. The movement within the image brings cheer to me as we have been restricted within our lives. It is so important to enjoy life and 'feel' good in what we do. Mental health is a huge topic worldwide, through art - joining hands and laughing brings all people and nations together with unity.
This artwork is an amalgamation of two images, Greek dancing and the streets of Dublin. Having recently visited Ireland and enjoyed the friendliness of the people and the beauty of the city of Dublin I captured this beautiful street with the umbrellas aloft - a contrast of visual senses. I then combined this with an image of Greek dancers captured in Corfu, a place I lived and continued to visit for many years.
Photographs are Intentional Camera Movement (ICM), all blur done within the camera, not added in production.
