Portraits d'Amazones (Series)
DESCRIPTION
I started working with the "Projet Amazones" organization a year ago, they help women who have a cancer to feel less alone in their recovery. As a photographer, I help them to see themselves as beautiful despite the sickness, even more as black women from the Carribean living in France. I spend a moment with them, to know what they want to feel on the picture, what is the purpose of the picture, and in a very quiet and soft way, I try to make them a piece of Art.
AUTHOR
I am Adeline Rapon, a photographer from Paris, France, and with Martinican origins. As a first generation blogger, I share photographs, fashion looks, engaged ideas and books since 2008. In the same time, I was a jeweler for 8 years, then decided to stop and be a full time photographer in October 2020.
Today, I'm working on several projects, including one I did during the first lockdown where I explored my Carribean roots that had a big resonance, but also one about catalan women in Barcelona, that is now an exhibition in the Reial Cercle Artistic until the end of october. I'm also working with an organisation helping caribbean women with a cancer, helping them through photography to love their altered body.
