Something special about my work called "Lily" makes me love this portrait and it is with no doubt its simplicity. I do love the split light which partially obscures her face, her look to the camera which is very meaningful, her right hand how tight she is holding her body which raises the question of whether she is under stress or anxiety. Her calm face says a different story. The combination of these gestures is trying to deliver a message about her. I do love this paradox in this portraiture. This portrait was taken with constant light and a camera on a tripod to minimise the natural shakes in the body. That is the reason why this picture is not very clear like the photos which flash have been used. I do like the tattoo which is in fact a lily flower tattooed on her back and that projects her personality which she is trying to show in this portraiture.
The settings used in this image were as follows: 85mm prime lens, ISO 200, F-Stop f1/4, 1/40 sec
