The Many Faces of an Iceberg (Series)
DESCRIPTION
The weather was awfully bad. Winds up to 70km/hour, rain, waves about half the size of the small fisherman boat. Icebergs are becoming rarer in Newfoundland island (Canada) as they now tend to melt before arriving because of climate change. After two weeks looking for icebergs and seeing only 6 which were not that interesting, we could not miss this one. Three hours a strongly rocking in a small boat was the price to pay to reach what looked to be a fantastic iceberg. And it truly was fantastic! In fact, this unique iceberg had two parts above water and looked as if there were two different icebergs moving together. This series of photographs presents the splitting iceberg, its four faces and the threatening weather.
