Wildlife/Animals nominee

During the morning & evening hours most of the creatures are usually busy finding their food. It was a bit of a cloudy afternoon while observing the surrounding, I saw several squirrels were moving across the green grass playing & eating. I located my self in a perfect place expecting another good day of squirrel photography which I had been trying for months. I was lucky to spot this smart looking squirrel, was standing on it's hind legs and was having a close look at a stem of a grass, thinking to itself 'this looks yummy'. I was trying to capture this moment for several months & finally it was capture.

I'm Avanka Fernando and based in Sri Lanka. Born in 1986, and professionally involved in the Education field. Wildlife photography is my favorite hobby which I really enjoy. I have been doing wildlife photography for the past 9-10 years but I invested more time and commitment from around 2016 onwards. Over the past years, I have traveled in to many parts of the country including National Parks, Wetlands & other places to capture the fascinating flora & fauna. My objective is to bring a different experience in nature and wildlife to all my viewers through photography and create awareness to help nature conservation.
