FUMAROLES (Series)
DESCRIPTION
These are fumaroles photographed with a drone at a tourist attraction called Hverir in Iceland. It is a geothermal area known for its mud holes and fumaroles that spew sulphuric gases. The smell of sulphur in the air was quite pungent and wearing a face covering was beneficial. The area was surreal and otherworldly and it felt like stepping back in time.
