Architecture nominee

Valletta is the seaport and capital of the Mediterranean island nation of Malta. Also, known as the Fortress City, was established in the 1500s with its magnificent forts, cathedral and bastions. It was completed in the short time of 15 years. The original image was photographed in color and didn’t highlight the fabulous architecture and design; everything appeared to be uniform and bland. I wanted the capital’s structure to be bold and have an explosion of contrast as if the city was rising from ashes.
