Willis Building hugging Lloyd’s Building (Single)
DESCRIPTION
I took the photo in the City of London with home of the Lloyd's insurance company in the foreground. Designed by famous architects Richard Rogers and Renzo Piano, the building was officially opened by Queen Elizabeth II on November 18, 1986. In 2011 it has become the youngest building to enter the register of historic buildings as “one of the key buildings of the modern epoch”.
AUTHOR
I took my first steps in photography in 2007 Due to the fact that I live by the sea, I mainly dealt with the seascape. My life priorities caused a ten-year break in staking pictures. Lockdown made me return to photography in 2020 and I am catching up on a long hiatus. I make my dreams come true: I create underwater stories, transfer viewers to my world through toys, and show architecture seen with my eyes. My photos have been awarded in competitions: Chromatic Awards, Monochrome Photography Awards, TIFA, BIFA, ND Awards, PX3 Awards, FAPA, New York Photogrphy Awards, MonoVision Awards, Annual Photography Awards. In categories: landscape, seascape, cityscape, architecture, conceptual, fineart. My photos have been published: The PX3 Annual Book 2022, Photographize Monochrome Issue 02 November 2022,Photography in the visual culture 2023.Exhibitions - International multimedia photography exhibition 16 february/5 march 2023 Centro Internazionale di Fotografia "Letizia Battaglia" in Palermo.
