Experimental nominee

My series „Fragility, strength and beauty” is about the mind constantly moving between the future and the past. Perceiving the present only under traces from past stories or scatters of future worries.

Most of the time, I find myself living in the past or the future.
Dwelling about things that had happened or not happened,
planning the future,
worrying about what might be or not be.
My mind jumps between the past and the future, back and forth.
If I don’t pay attention, I’m not even aware.
I won’t recognize the stories I tell myself.
Constant storytelling.
Most of the time, I almost forget about the present.
But there are these short moments when I can stop my mind and soak in the present.
There is strength, beauty and fragility in this very moment.
And the next. And the next.

Biography
I am working with experimental and abstract fine art photography.
To me, photography is a way to think about and explore the emotions, moods, struggles and joys of every day.
Since childhood, I was fascinated by photography, trying different photographic types. But the observation and shooting of the outside world couldn’t satisfy the complexity of expressing the inner exploration of my inner emotions. 
This is when I started to use experimental techniques, like intentional camera movements, creating an abstraction of reality and reflecting on my surroundings, emotions, feelings and thoughts.
I am mainly working with analogue double exposure, camera movements and painting on negatives.
