Experimental nominee

The aim of the project to picturize the waste on skin with using a fashion aesthetic. Companies use advertisement to distinct their items from the other ones and make them a a passion object. Most of the time this ends up with the unnecessary package consumption. We can't get the items without them. This inefficient process brings the pollution and consumes too much energy even with the recyclable ones. So the thing I wanted to create that showing this process like a sickness on the human skin. For this case we went 3 locations with the team and we picked a different color theme for each of the shooting. First one was in Netherlands we used the muted coloured sand beach in Den Haag. Then the second one was in a forest in Arnsberg Germany in order to use strong green of the nature with some color contrast, and the last one was in Antalya Turkey. We used strong cliff motive.

Born in Antalya, 1992
I started photography in 2008 as a high school student. Since my mother is a painter, she always has a strong passion towards visual arts. She offered me to attend a photography course together. In the beginning I felt strong when I was holding a camera. I started my bachelor's degree in 2010 and my goal was to be a businessman, specifically in shipping, but during my college years I realised that maybe I should have chosen a different path. The Gezi protests in Istanbul soon began. I was in my senior year of bachelor's, it was like a whole new world starting in front of me. I couldn't stop myself, I just joined in and observed and photographed...
So the Gezi protests were over after a few months and I had to find a way to live, then I started commercial photography in Istanbul. I have worked with companies from various fields such as business magazines, stock agencies, boutiques, real estate agents. At the same time, I'm still trying to shoot my documentary stories. In 2018 I moved to Bochum/Germany and still working in all over the NRW. So that's it.
