This piece, entitled Dining with the Fallen Angel, consists of three pieces that could either go together to create one bigger piece, or they can also work separately. The concept of this work is about the Christian belief that the Devil was once a beautiful angel named Lucifer who defied God and fell from grace.
"In Abrahamic religions, fallen angels are angels who were expelled from heaven. The literal term "fallen angel" appears neither in the Bible nor in other Abrahamic scriptures, but is used to describe angels cast out of heaven or angels who sinned. Such angels often tempt humans to sin.”
This piece of work is a self portrait. Besides being the photographer and doing the modeling, in this project, I played the role of the stylist, set designer, makeup artist, as well as dong the post production.
I wanted these photographs to be both, visually appealing and to have a deeper meaning, a strong concept behind it as well.

DESCRIPTION
AUTHOR
My name is Alexandra Peskova, but everyone calls me Alex. I'm from Bratislava, Slovakia but I've lived in a few different places, including Holland, Spain, and Hawaiʻi. I'm currently based in San Francisco, where I study to get my BFA in photography at Academy of Art University.
My passion is conceptual fashion photography, as well as fine art photography. I like using different angles, compositions, and making different stylistic decision in my shoots, to give them the editorial look that I love and desire.
Besides being the photographer, I also love "playing the role" of a stylist and putting my models in all different kinds of quirky, usually layered, garments.
My photographs have been featured in a few magazines, but I'm hoping to expand on that in the future and get my art out there into the world.
