The blue koi fish is a highly symbolic figure in Japanese and Chinese culture. It has been an important symbol of peace and calm for centuries. The blue koi is said to bring good luck and prosperity and is a sign that we should be grateful for all good that comes our way.

After such a stressful past few years I want to create an image of luck, peace, and hope.

I am a fine art photographer from New Zealand. I feel my recent works come from a place of layering, intuition, and experimentation and exist somewhere between painting and photography.

Creating brings me a sense of peace and offers a place to let dreams and ideas become a reality, my highest goal is to convey that same feeling of serenity and magic to my audience, offering a window to a world where everything and anything is possible.

I have sold my works in several group exhibitions, have been published for 4 years running in the NZ Camera Book, and have also received PSNZ Licentiate Honours.

I think nature is an inexhaustible source of inspiration, not subject to fads and trends; it has a timeless beauty.
