Inscapes (Series)
DESCRIPTION
In the course of various travels, I happened upon landscapes that possessed
a mysterious and liberating power. Their contemplation mobilized my imagination and
provoked in me an emotional discharge that seemed to go beyond the appreciation of their beauty.
My thoughts wandered through their poetry.
This series of dreamlike landscapes, titled Inscapes, combines places and fragments of memory into single, layered images. To paraphrase the words of the Surrealist author Philippe Soupault, in creating these images, I traveled inward in search of inner landscapes.
