Landscape nominee

It is almost silent. A few leaves can be heard rustling in the morning mist and gentle wind. These mighty willow trees have already explained many things. The surroundings are familiar to them, as are the returning seasons. I have also found a place in this small oasis of wilderness and can press the shutter.

I work with analog photography, using large-format cameras.
I am fascinated by what happens when time, light and silence interact.
The slow pace of work demands patience and attention. It opens up space for perception.

I find my inspiration in nature, in the immediate surroundings, in transitions of light and weather, of proximity and distance.
I am not interested in the spectacular, but in the inconspicuous, the quietly present.
I consider myself a painter of light.
