Rothwald (Single)
DESCRIPTION
The Rothwald is a forest, which I have often visited with my grandparents and with my parents. I live in Switzerland in the Alps and this forest is one of my favorite places. That's why I spend a lot of time there with my family. For this reason I wanted to print a fine art picture, but it should not be a picture like other forest pictures. I had something picturesque in mind, so I looked for a piece of forest in the fall that combines brown and green colors. The fog gives the picture some density. When composing the picture, I searched for some time to find straight trees lining up. I created the image with a panoramic camera (Xpan / Tx-1) and used a 35mm film with Iso 800, so that the grain in the image is very pronounced. When printed on fine art paper, this supported the desired style and look.
