Night nominee

These street photographs were taken at the entrance to the arts and crafts fair in Warsaw. Thanks to harsh winter conditions and some unusual lighting from behind the curtain, the silhouettes of people leaving the fair turned into mysterious, magical creatures. Since I had discovered this spot, I kept coming back and waiting for hours for new candid portraits like these. Finally, these photos have amassed into quite a collection that in my opinion depicts the dark and bizarre side of human nature.

I'm a street photographer based in Warsaw, Poland. Since I grew up in the projects in a post-industrial big city, I'm always looking to find something beautiful even in the most unappealing surroundings.

I've been photographing for 9 years now. One of my photos was awarded the main prize at Fuji Street Photo Awards 2020. I was also a finalist at Miami Street Photo Festival last year. Apart from that, my works have also been selected and shortlisted by Martin Parr and Bruce Gilden in the Life Framer Competition.
