The Polaris project is a set of nude self-portraits taken in a glacial environment, depicting the representation of a symbiosis of the human being who has become wild again with an original world that was thought to be unreachable.
The frozen expanses shown in these photographs are the last pristine natural spaces on the planet, the symbol of a pure nature, but also hostile and distant. The human being who finds herself there entirely alone is therefore in total rupture with civilization. This rupture is accentuated on the one hand by the shooting in self-portrait, sign of a resolutely solitary adventure, and on the other hand by the nudity of the body, mark of the abandonment of all artifice and a return to the rawest state. Nudity in this freezing environment is also a physical and mental challenge, a risk taken to achieve a total and absolute encounter with nature. From this privileged encounter, result of liberation and self-transcendence, arises a fusional relationship, both powerful and peaceful.
