LETJA
I have called this piece LETJA, as she is charismatic, cheeky and a social butterfly. Letja is a joy to be around as she is an inspiration and is always cheerfully optimistic.
My Mother and Sister are cancer survivors, and I would like to honour them. I believe it was their strength and their never-failing optimism that helped them through a journey to recovery. They are truly my inspiration and a reminder to always look at the positives and the joy of life.
I hope when you look at this piece of Letja, that you also see joy, inspiration, and optimism.

Liesel Edis – Artist Profile
All my life I've been drawn to and intrigued by the water. My interest began as a diver of many years. However, my passion for underwater photography blossomed when I had the opportunity to photograph the majestic humpback whales of Tonga. This is where my passion for the water and my photography collided.
“Underwater fine art photography lure the audience in, and ignite the imagination through the elegance and movement of the human body under weightlessness”
With my pieces, I like to create a space that doesn’t look quite real; the perspective that is not of this world or in a dreamlike state. The air of mystery and connection to a different time and place provokes thoughts and conversations.
