I am eighty-four years old. I was born in 1938 in a mountainous village called Museigol located below Seonja-ryeng in Gangwon-do, Korea, and lived through a period of upheaval in Korea.
However, the friends I grew up with were starting to leave one by one. Now, the plum trees standing by the yard, the persimmon trees next to the brick wall, and the chestnut trees at the foot of the mountain all died out one by one.
I am also looking at the end of my time. So, I wanted to look back on my life and organize it by collecting and framing old photos that are fragments of my days. On my face drawn by the years, I put together the fragments of scattered memories and put them together to materialize my figure.
