This is a self-portrait photograph that documents the aftermath of Domestic Violence and is a part of my ‘End Power Abuse’ series. Within this series I looked at the effect Coronavirus 19 had on households that are experiencing domestic violence within the UK.

DESCRIPTION
AUTHOR
I am Olivia and I am a photographer and freelance artist. I love to challenge preconceptions and prejudice as well as raise awareness of important issues we face in society such as domestic abuse and stereotypes about mental-ill health and more. I paint in my free time, often inspired by Andy Warhol and Jackson Pollock. I'm an animal lover and eco-friendly, I create photographic projects in hope of a better future and to educate people as well as myself. I love and appreciate the arts of any kind, including tattooing and body modifications, photography and abstract expressionism as well as post-modern art, as these are a form of expression that I believe is good for the soul as I’m a spiritualist at heart. My photography is often influenced by artists such as Henri Cartier-Bresson and Francessca Woodman, as they're both famous documentary fine art photographers that inspire me daily, especially ‘The Decisive Moment’ concept by Bresson as sometimes all we need is patience and a good eye.
