Portrait nominee

I usually don't part with my camera but that day I had to get on a boat for tourists and I preferred not to take it.
When the little girl leaned against the parapet with that delicate pose, lost in the warmth of the lights and shadows, I thought of a painting by Hopper and snapped with my smartphone.
It was a privileged moment: a scrap of peace and solitude in the midst of the noisy joy of the tourists, but above all a look at his world, his thoughts, his young restlessness.
Hopper said: my goal is to use nature as a means to fix on the canvas my strongest reactions towards the object as it appears in the moment in which I love it most.
I particularly liked this photograph because in my photographic research the main objective is to achieve intimacy with the image even if only for a moment, to love it to transform it into something more authentic and personal.

I was born in Cagliari, married, mother of two daughters, I live and work in Cagliari.
Passionate about photography, I have participated in several group exhibitions and two small solo exhibitions.
I was selected among the 23 finalists of the London Photo Festival, my photo was exhibited for three months at The Bridge Lounge in London
I came second in the competition organized by the Municipality "Cagliari in one shot". The award ceremony and the exhibition, attended by the Mayor, took place in the exhibition hall of the Cagliari Media Library

I was selected among the 40 finalists of the P.A.C.E. competition, organized by "Ciao Fotografo", Sprea Fotografia and the newspaper Il Fotografo. My photo was exhibited in Mantua on at the Confindustria headquarters
My photo "Mysterious" was included in the publication "Zona Bianca" La Rinascita, by the curator Maria Cristina Brandini and L'Onda Nuova in honor and memory of Maestro Giovanni Gastel
My photos "Recognizing each other", have been published in the March/April 2022 issue of N Photography magazine, editor Spreafotografia.
