Metaphor of Resistance" is a series that arises from the interpretation of experiences lived by the portrayed model, Leysy, a Cuban of African descent who has gone through experiences of racial inequity and gender violence.
There are several testimonies that have made her feel different from the rest because of her skin color.
With these photographs I try to recreate visual analogies with elements that describe her emotional states and it is a song of resistance, which addresses race, culture and the family legacy that has been transmitted from generation to generation to make her a strong and courageous woman, beyond of racial trials.
