Uniform lines of Iraqi men waiting patiently for the call to prayer so they can break their fast in the month of Ramadan.
An image I took which required a lot of determination, weaving through the rows of Iraqi's, to be rejected by hotel owner upon hotel owner to visit their rooftop, I managed to use some charm with a few local kids who showed me a path up. I stood over the edge, with my camera lens on its widest and snapped this shot before anyone could see.
The first distinct feature is the equality in everyones plate, then there's a shared moment at the bottom, finally accelerated by the man in the middle handing out meals.
A community dinner at sunset in a country where these moments were most missed during their occupation. We can see a whole culture in this piece, people spanning generations, rich and poor, old and young.
