Travel nominee

This series was taken during my recent travel to Sri Lanka; during my stay in the place, I've been in contact with many different people from different backgrounds.
The nation wasn't leaving the best situation economically and politically, with a shortage of petrol all over the country and a lack of food in some places; what surprised me was the toughness of the population, living their life knowing what was going on, but still caring for each other still kind.

Cosimo Campagna was born and raised in southern Italy. At the age of 21, he moved to England to pursue his passion for photography. In 2020, he enrolled at the University of Plymouth and graduated in photography (BA Hons ) in 2024.

Cosimo's passion for photography was born out of his love for travel. He uses this medium to capture and share the beauty of the world as he sees it. His focus is mainly on people and their interactions, and he creates portraits that aim to tell their stories. He is also deeply passionate about the sea and landscape.

Cosimo is a photographer with a passion for telling stories through his work. His projects focus on people and places, and he pays close attention to detail and narrative. He uses both digital and analogue mediums depending on the situation, though he has a preference for film. Cosimo enjoys working with natural light and often employs a black and white style to create impactful and dramatic tones.
