Who doesn't love Puffins? They are incredibly photogenic yet challenging to photograph, especially in flight. I took these pictures over a period of weeks and at several different spots throughout Iceland, including especially Labtrabjarg and Borgarfjordur Eystri. I used a 600mm telephoto lens, usually set at 1/2500 when conditions permitted. Of course, on Iceland, one generally has to contend with strong winds and often frigid temperatures as well. Nevertheless, I could spend many weeks in their company, and I was struck by how sociable they can be.

I am a fine art, nature, photographer, who enjoys both landscape and wildlife photography. I have one a number of regional awards, and I have had three gallery exhibitions to date.
