"Go to the discovery of what we do not see...
The way was open in this fishing port.
I walked in.
On this part of the port of Nazaré, a world has been revealed.
That of the living works, those that we do not see, installed under the waterline, immersed.
Those essential to the boat, essential to its navigation.
These works caught my eye and offered me their ephemeral beauties: paintings, drawings created by the waves, algae and shells, a little also by the hands of men.
They tell their stories, just for a moment, a few days, a few weeks...
And then go back to hide under the sea to come back, later, with other stories."
The vivid works (submerged parts of the boat) are a source of inspiration. Depending on the framing and light, they make it possible to create paintings where colors oppose, unite and draw, sometimes, elements of reality. Everyone can then appropriate these images and decipher them according to their sensitivity.
