I stumbled across this live giant clam whilst out taking seascapes on an Australian beach.
When I looked at the image later I felt an abstract edit would highlight the clam's beautiful curves, shape and texture. The blue and gold acknowledge the colours of the ocean and sand.
Initially the viewer may think they are looking at a meandering river bed but on closer inspection the form of the clam slowly reveals itself, just as it does when buried in the ocean bed.
