This is one of the most surreal images l have ever captured of the City of London. l woke up early and arrived at the location at 5am. The sky was dull, the morning cold. I patiently waited with my coffee flask and watched the urban scene. Little did I know how worthwhile this would be.
The sun rose to a powerful, golden light, right before my eyes. It blew me away. I pressed the shutter capturing this perfect, golden light and distant jets of steam.
Bishopsgate Tower is under construction and nearing finish. Soon the skyline will change. Perhaps the golden light won’t ever be the same again.
