Faceless (Series)
DESCRIPTION
Mysteries of a labyrinth hidden in the veins of a dragonfly's wing,
wounds such as embroidery and embellishments of the skin to exorcise human fears,
blood as purification, pain and beauty that triumph and blend like oil paints on canvas,
eyes closed to see a little further along the border, adrift of the unknown.
Skin, lines and shapes that the body assumes and produces have always fascinated me. The body is a perfect instrument of reception and reflection, it is a map to be discovered, it is the manifestation of the interior, for me this was a way to observe myself from multiple angles of view, to feel that I am a single multitude, to be everything.
Only when you look from different points of view can you have a perception of the complexity of the world, of the human being and of his representations. We are how we perceive reality, therefore it exists in infinite ways outside and inside us.
AUTHOR
Elisa Scascitelli was born in Italy in 1989.
She is a creative and visionary Artist in Fine Art and Fairytales Photography.
But she just loves calling herself a Fantastic Worlds Explorer.
Exploration, nature, forests, mystery, the continuous questions without answer, the "you don't know" those are sources of inspiration that persistently leak in her artworks.
Labyrinthine nature of the artist is intertwined with the arcane, with the dreamlike and mythological symbolism, mixing like color on a painter's canvas.
