We live in an era of limitless production and influx of information. Each one of us is part of this mass of production, too, through the photos, comments, and data we ourselves share. Individual components in this mass of circulation have no relation one to another, and become like the mass of goods on display in a bazaar.
The world today is an orderly mess, and although we think we have never been more free, simultaneously mankind has never experienced such a sense of confusion and loss. We have never been completely divorced from certain paths in life, and the very framework of existence. The digital age is considered a great leap of civilization -- we human beings seem so keen to transform ourselves. Electronic waves are indistinguishable from real voices; images composed of pixels represent real people, with whom we interact as if they are. The virtual world occupies an increasingly significant role if daily life, while we explore it with the innocence of youth. What I'm trying to do through photography is to simulate the patterns of society today, to record moments around me, to show myself and to navigate the conundrums of the times.
