Mane in the wind, galloping at sunset between endless fields, collective imagination of horses that are presented as a symbol of absolute freedom and free will.
The author misplaces these equines, placing them outside of that idyllic image. A dialogue between the mares of his life and his own relationship with the society represented by a gloomy and constrained space. Locked in that dark place, in tension, with their manes braided in a subtle reminder of acquiescence to social domination and submission to established roles.
As if it were a ray of hope, within this context, a photograph of simple forms comes into play, which visually captures feelings, sensations, and textures, and above all, a way of understanding the world. And as a result, an introspective act of existential awareness about how everyone, without exception, oscillates between states of domestication and illusory freedom.

DESCRIPTION
AUTHOR
As a child I used to draw horses, but the years passed and I moved on to study law, becoming a lawyer, a judge and associate lecturer at the Rovira i Virgili University for ten years. I am now a businesswoman and a licensed equestrian instructor, but from a very early age I have carried my camera nearly everywhere. My first part-time job as a teenager was in a photography lab and in 1990 at the age of eleven, my first equestrian photograph was published in a magazine, so I could say that first and foremost, I am a photographer. My adventurous spirit led me to give up everything in 2012 to fulfil my dream of travelling around the world for more than six months. When I finally returned, it was to immerse myself in my passions, including photography and horse riding, so at almost forty years of age I started my equestrian studies and I also enrolled in Elisava’s Master of Photography and Design programe because if one thing clear to me, it is that you only live once. Since then i had several exhibitions -solo and collective- and i'm working on photography professionally.
