Sagarmatha Region (Series)
DESCRIPTION
31 days, 290 km, 19700 meters of cumulative elevation gain and 20kg on my back -
this was my personal three passes trek in the Everest region starting in Junbesi on the footsteps of Sir Edward Hillary. What we see here in particular is Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Pumori and the north and south west face of Arakam Tse. I spent many of my evenings freezing on summits like Kala Pathar and Gokyo Ri and followed the changing light. The beauty of that spectacle captivated me and it was hard to choose THE photo out of plenty. I think it is the ratio of the dimensions and the moment where the last daylight already meets the darkness, that led me to choose these photographs for the this entry.
1. Mt. Everest, Lhotse and Nuptse
2. Pumori
3. North face ofArakam Tse and the mountain village Dzongla
4. South west face of Arakam Tse
