Trees of the Desert,
During a trip to Dubai to photograph the serene and beautiful tranquil sand dunes in the desert, I came across these lonely trees, clearly battling the elements. Many of the trees and shrubs that once stood have their roots exposed to the sun or are buried by the ever changing windswept desert landscape. I really hope, they are still there when I visit them again . . .
This desert is part of the Great Arabian Desert, which covers the entire Arabian Peninsula (which also includes Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, and part of Iraq and Jordan). On one side of Dubai is the Persian Gulf and on the other eastern side is this desert.
