Nudes nominee

This photograph was a personal project created in my studio using 2 speedlights and color gels. The picture refers to the search for oneself, and to self-love. The mysterious character appears in a dark silhouette form, like rising for a new birth. Without apparent identity, it is an allegory of feminity and time. In a colorfull abstract universe which seems to be a rising sun, this scene demystifying the body and tries to question the observer contemporary way of thinking which sanctifies beauty in a short period of time. Thus, Beauty is no longer ephemeral, but in a perpetual rise.

Grégory Jacquelin (Greg) is a young artist working on the expression of the body (both female and male) in its birthday suit through dreamlike decorations from "emotional paintings" inspired by the subject photographed. The resulting picture, almost shy, plays with sensuality and subtlety, and is intended to be far from any vulgarity. Greg multiplies techniques with one objective : to gradually get rid of cognitive biases (gender, ethnicity, social status, age...) in order to appreciate a character laid bare in the beauty of his true self.
