This photo was taken in Bajamar on Tenerife (Spain).

At this day on the Tenerife Island waves of the ocean hit the breakwaters with surprising force. When I walked along natural sea pools, I watched in awe; hypnotized with the rhythms of the raw nature. And then a small family appeared in the view. They were standing under the lighthouse and were clearly unaffected by the heights of the water that was splashing behind them. At once the father raised his son into the air. It was one of those magical moments, which screamed an immediate capture.

I was once told that this would be great photo to illustrate a life insurance offer and quite frankly – I believe that there is some truth in this statement.

Born and raised in Berlin, I have always been a lover of big cities. To this day, I am fascinated by the synergy of historical buildings and modern architecture, which dominates the cityscapes of many metropolises. But even though Berlin is amazing, it drives me more and more into the world. A year in Prague during my studies made me a European citizen and re-ignited my passion for travel.
