Photojournalism 2nd place winner

A series of images captured during deployments with wildland firefighter crews on wildfire operations. The aim of the ongoing work is to capture the intense experience of engaging in wildfire management and conveying it in a way that allows the public to experience the moments we go through on the fireline that are normally only witnessed from a distance on a news reel, and thereby gain a greater understanding of the very real challenges faced when confronting such a force of nature.
