Obsidian is a self portrait representation of physical pain and disability. I wanted to communicate what physical pain looks like and how it makes me feel inside.

Hope is a multidisciplinary artist with a background in the performing arts. Now restricted by disability and chronic pain, self-portraiture and surrealism give her new avenues of expression. Her art spans the entire gamut of the human condition, often evolving in style but consistent in voice. From whimsical surrealism to the vulnerable glimpses of spoonie life.
