CONCEPT :
To highlight the least represented aspect of a woman: adolescence.
The starting point: a doll is either a baby or a woman and there is an in-between time, a very particular moment in a woman’s life when she is not quite a child nor quite a woman.
A moment when a war rages between the past and the future. A moment when she is both in construction today of what she will be tomorrow.
The play on words is thus put forward: A teenage doll, « a doll essence ».
Each painting has scenes of the ordinary life of a teenager with these details put in point of humor.
MOOD :
Soft color rendering, skin with a doll-like texture; smooth. Light strong enough for the plastic side and toy look. Pastel pink tones on the model and contrasting bright tones around the box (stickers). Add accessories symbolizing adolescence inside the box and outside the box.
