Apollo Astronauts (Single)
DESCRIPTION
Friendship! The term seems to be the currency of superficially fleeting recognition in today's parallel universes of digitality. The like button is just a gesture of the moment. It seems as far removed from the ideal of perfect friendship as the moon is from the earth. 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. New York cheered them on March 16th 2019. Standing ovations for the two legends of the Apollo program: Charles Duke set foot on the moon in April 1972, Harrison Schmitt as the last person to date in Dec 1972. Touchingly unmoved by the scenery this intimate moment of quiet understanding was captured on open stage. Their hands are about to meet. They hold on to each other as astronauts supported each other decades ago and will as friends until the end of their lives. But only a few will be able to fly to the moon! Hence couldn't a digital like in the endless expanse of digitality also result in what true happiness on earth means: real friendship.
