Surfing is a sport usually accompanied by beautiful sunny beaches with clear blue oceans. This post-apocalyptic surf series shows an eerie view of the possible future world through the sport of surfing. In the series of dystopia, I contemplate what a post-apocalyptic world could look like. Whether it’s climate change, catastrophic events or natural disasters, humankind might face such conditions.
I had the idea and vision for the series, but the right weather conditions do not come across often. The series was made on a cold and thick foggy winter day on a high tide. Surfers had their winter gear on - long “lobster” gloves and winter hoods made surfers look like grim Slender man characters.
