This series represents one of the most incredible adventures I’ve ever experienced in my life.
From the 15 September to 2 October 2022, I overtook a breathtaking experience going to an eastern African country: Kenya. This journey has changed the way I see the world and at the same time it made me grow as a photographer and filmmaker.
The incredible authenticity and beauty of this land filled my eyes with life and love.
In the over-industrialized and ever-grayer world I was used to live in, I finally discovered the beauty of vibrant and bright colors of Africa.
For the first time I got to know a country where everything around me was so different from my reality that I was able to better understand my daily life. Africa is able to make you see your land with different eyes when you return home.
'Mama wa Dunia' means Mother Earth, in these photos I wanted to represent scenes of motherhood and everyday life in a land rich in colours and shades. Playing with natural light and strong contrasts, I wanted to represent a country full of life and stories.
