Yellow emperor (Single)
DESCRIPTION
This image was captured above Lake Weering in central Victoria, Australia. Not all salt lakes are pink. Depending on the time of year and type of algae in the water, colours can range from white, through yellow to orange and brown, from grey to blue. I was lucky to be in the right place at the right time to take this single photograph at a time when the water was rapidly changing in colour - the yellow hue was only visible from above and only for a few days.
