DESCRIPTION
My interest is to explore the aesthetics of the everyday through abstract visual stories. Using the urban landscape as a canvas, I deconstruct conceptual images as a way to escape from daily life and examine our personal perspectives on beauty.
AUTHOR
Jonathan Garcia Mainou is an editor, photographer and writer.
Born in Mexico in 1980, he moved to Canada in 2000 to pursue his interest in filmmaking. Since then he has been working in film, television and photography. In 2004, the Berkeley Video and Film Festival honored him with an Award of Excellence for his short comedy Out of Character.
In January 2010, he started his own photoblog by the name of Land(E)scapes which evolved from his passion for storytelling.
Jonathan was recently invited to be part of the Rose-Tinted Exhibition for Project Gallery as part of the CONTACT Photography Festival.
