Landscape nominee

"The Wave", it's a landscape photographers dream to visit this permitted location in Northern Arizona. After trying countless times to win a permit and failing, I finally got my chance! The even better news was that it was going to be snowing which rarely happens in the area! I couldn't believe my double luck! I had been told not to go even though I had won because of the road conditions. I went ahead and booked a tour in order to make sure I didn't get stuck on the road and was able to capitalize on my luck in getting a permit and getting snow conditions. Visiting here was a dream come true and it was great to capture some truly rare and unique images of a place that is now overphotographed.

Hey! I am Alex and I am a seeker of experiences and a go-getter. Growing up I traveled all over the world and was immersed in many different cultures. I have grown overtime to become a student of life. Landscape photography has become a passion of mine because of the connection with new perspectives and great moments.

I am currently based out of Arizona and always itching to get in the car and go somewhere. The outdoors and landscape photography is what first peaked my interest. I have also found a passion and creative outlet in the form of portrait photography.

I never really knew what was out there until I got into landscape photography. When I first moved to Arizona I thought the whole state was just a hot desert. Boy was I wrong! I’ve gotten to discover and experience so many unique places just a few short hours from home thanks to photography. I surely wouldn’t know many of these places even exist if I had never picked up a camera and I am grateful that I did because of where it has taken me and hopefully will continue to take me.
