Nature nominee

A photograph I took of an Elephant Ear Plant's leaf at my local college. The leaves of these plants contain a profound richness of history that is expressed through each fold, indent, tear, and droplet stain it has accumulated over the years of its lifespan. I believe their true beauty shines the brightest through monochromatic imagery, bringing out the tonality and age of their skin. For me, a picture can only tell a thousand words, while nature can tell us an eternity of so much more.

My name is Tommi, and I am based in Riverside CA. Photography allows me to explore the world through the lens of my camera and to express myself in ways I otherwise couldn't. In all of my art forms, I seek to invoke the senses of imagination; rather than spell everything out, I guide the viewers to interpret their own personal meaning.
