With 'Remember me' I show subdued and serene low-key portraits of flowers. The images are reduced to their essence by showing as few distractions as possible while also depicting the beauty of impermanence.
Flora have a wide range of added value for humanity and fauna, ranging from oxygen production and food supply to medicinal value and environmental conservation. But it also has aesthetic value: in fact, plants contribute to our (aesthetic) well-being. They can surround us with beautiful flowers, colourful leaves and pleasant scents, which can have a positive effect on our mood and well-being. Take a mindful walk through the forest, you will come home feeling more positive. But unfortunately, nature cannot defend itself and, despite its sharp edges, this makes it defenceless and also vulnerable.
The viewer sees those portrayed in their darkest period of their existence. Impermanence; death by negative effects from nature itself, such as drought or storm, or picked by man for their beauty or senselessly destroyed.
All are captured and remembered forever with these portraits. This is my ode to the fragility of flora.
EDIT: I made a mistake, I'm a semi-pro, I can't change that in the edit.
