Dancing with Fog (Series)
DESCRIPTION
This series, captured in Bavaria during an autumnal hike with my Nikon camera, chronicles a unique encounter with nature. What began as a birdwatching expedition was transformed by the enveloping mist into a profound auditory experience, transcending mere observation. In Buddhism and the philosophy of Schopenhauer, there lies an imperative to perceive reality beyond the veils of Maya, beyond the fog. However, this experience bestowed upon us the chance to realize that what lies concealed behind the veil, before it can be seen, must first be heard.
AUTHOR
I'm a 33-year-old Colombian PhD candidate in Philosophy, specializing in Nietzsche and Modernity at the Universitat de Barcelona. Splitting my time between Barcelona and Munich, I engage not only in rigorous academic pursuits but also contribute actively to the public discourse. This includes a regular column (mostly on science and the arts) published in one of the most esteemed newspapers in my region and country.
Beyond academia, I'm an avid amateur photographer, drawn to the philosophical and political dimensions of visual arts. My interests lie at the intersection of aesthetics, philosophy, nature and politics.
In 2021, I received a nomination in the amateur category (street photography) at the 7th Fine Art Photography Awards. This awareness fuels my passion to explore the multifaceted dimensions of visual expression.
