Nature nominee

This is an original photograph of Venus taken on March 6, 2023. I used a Canon Power Shot SX720HS camera. I was hoping to photograph the Venus/Jupiter Conjunction, but I had to wait 5 days for a break in the nightly cloud cover. I photographed the pair together, then singly. I use a home-made photographic technique that allows me to photograph other planets like a high-powered telescope.

I have discovered a unique photographic technique that allows me to photograph other planets like a high-powered telescope using only a simple camera. My planet photos have won "Editor's Pick" 10 times at the Smithsonian Photo Contest.
