If we would be able to change water into gold, would we do so until the last drop, even if it would mean the end of us?
By replacing mostly natural elements in the photographs by gold, I make literal what in some ways is a very abstract concept; humanity's ability to separate itself from the natural world it lives in. The consequences of this separation are hard to imagine but could be catastrophic.
